My son is an executive currently working in private sector in Bangalore. We come from an affluent, nuclear family background with traditional values. We live in our own house. I am a retired professor from IITKanpur. Every person in our family is highly educated. I am a Ph.D from IITMadras,my niece is MBA, my nephew is MBA from Ahmedabad His wife is a charted accountant who passed the exams in the first attempt, a very rare thing for CA students.. There is one medical doctor also. So my son has decided to get MBA soon. My son ,though shy, is a jolly good fellow, making his friends happy with his jokes and stories. He did some fusion of western music about which I know nothing. But a professional group visiting Bangalore, invited him with a special entry pass so that he could be with them in the dressing room. He likes carnatic music also. He has winsome manners & can be chummy with anybody in no time.He has deep attachments to the family& friends. At the time of interview his firm,an American firm with HQ at California , asked him whether he preferred to work in India or USA. He said without hesitation India. I gently reprimanded him for that. I am a widower. for the past 20 years. We are only two in the family. We are religious. We are flexible as the situation demands. Within 3 years of his joining he got a promotion.Another he got sometime back.. He is intelligent and hard working. Rarely he works for ,8 hrs. Usually it is 13 hrs. On reaching home also his opinion is sought. He never complains. He is supervising the works of 50 others some of them much older than him. He is healthy with no chronic medical problem, never admitted in a hospital for any disease. He has clean habits.M agnanimity & generocity are, like his mother, in his blood. Meanness is not in his dictionary.I am a senior citizen hoping to be very senior in a few years. Perhaps his wife will see him rising & reaching higher levels. He is a rising star.
